Shenandoah, Tyterope made them happy

Hundreds of music fans enjoyed Sheandoah at Lewisburg's Farmers Market despite rain on Friday afternoon.

Chapel Hill-based Tyterope emerged as the winner of the Battle of the Bands, a two-month-long contest that paid out $2,500 to the best of a dozen entries.

Also Friday night, Shenandoah hosted an appearance of Billy Ryan, a singer, songwriter, guitar player who's come back to the Nashville area since touring Europe.
