Aline Stinnett Whitesell, 84, of Lewisburg, died Tuesday, Oct. 20, 2009, in St. Thomas Hospital.
Mrs. Whitesell was a native of Williamson County. She was employed by Kroger for 20 years; was co-owner of I-65 31A Truck Stop (now known as the Tennessean) for seven years; and retired from the Tennessee Department of Transportation at Belfast in 1990. She was a member of the Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Grover and Minnie Stuart Stinnettt; brothers, Grover Stinnett Jr., Billy Stinnett and Ronnie Stinnett; and sisters, Ruby Burgess, Sara Dyer and Viola Beever.
She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Morgan Whitesell, daughter, Patricia Winnett, and son, Delwyn Whitesell, all of Lewisburg; sisters, Mable Spivey, Hazel White, Bobbie June Johnson and Jeannie Barlor, all of Lewisburg, Mildred Smith of Shelbyville, and Wilma Reynolds of Florida; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
The family will be at London Funeral Home Friday until the funeral hour for visitation.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 23, from the chapel of London Funeral Home with Mike Whitehead officiating, followed by burial in Lone Oak Cemetery.
The pallbearers will be Kenneth White, Danny White, David White, Ricky Jones, Jason Burgess, and Tony Dyer.
The honorary pallbearers are Randy Darnell, Rod Darnell, Todd Smith, Charles Deason, Richard Darnell, Gary Spivey, and Mike Spivey.
