William Kenneth Ellis, 56, of Lewisburg, died Saturday, Oct. 24, 2009, at Marshall Medical Center.
Mr. Ellis was a native of Clarksville. He was an employee of the U.S. Postal Service. He was a 4th Degree Member of the Knights of Columbus and was active in the National Association of Letter Carriers. He was a member of St. John's Catholic Church.
He was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Ellis, and an infant brother, Jerome Ellis.
He is survived by his mother, Catherine Byrne Ellis of Cedar Hill; wife, Helen Sue Allwardt Ellis, and daughters, Angela Kate Ellis and Rachel Sue Ellis, all of Lewisburg; sisters, Pat (Bob) Milner of South Port, N. C. and Mary (Gene) Jackson of Cedar Hill; and brother, Michael J. (Cherry) Ellis, also of Cedar Hill.
Funeral services were conducted Monday, Oct. 26, from St. John's Catholic Church with Father William M. Kelley SDS officiating, followed by burial in the Griggs Cemetery near Waynesboro.
The pallbearers were George Smith, Bud Balinger, Don Dougherty, Mike Kukula, Ron Hall, and Steve Surowitz.
London Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
