Tigers run over by Page in 35-14 loss

The Page Patriots played to their strength versus Marshall County Friday night in Williamson County as running back Markeise Lockridge rumbled his way through the Tiger defense, carrying the ball 19 times for 253 yards and two touchdowns in a 35-14 win.

Tiger quarterback Trevor Carter continued his standout season as the signal caller for coach Don Thomas, throwing for two scores in a 19/33, 239 yard performance.

Page jumped to an early 14-0 first quarter lead on an Aaron Michasi 5-yard touchdown run and a 37-yard scoring scamper by Lockridge.

The Pats scored twice more for a 28-0 lead before the Tigers finally got on the board on a Carter to David Tadajewski 27 yard TD hookup late in the second quarter.

Michasi again scored just before the half on a 20-yard jaunt, giving Page a 35-7 halftime lead.

There was no third quarter scoring.

The Tigers final tally of the game took place in the fourth period when Carter found Broderick Tears on a 13-yard touchdown strike.

The Tigers will host Giles County Friday night at Preston Hopkins Field in Lewisburg.

The Bobcats (8-1, 6-0) come into the senior contest versus the Tigers (1-8, 1-5) ranked no. 3 in the latest AP poll.
