Chapel Hill seeks Citizen of the Year

The Chapel Hill Park and Recreation Board will present an award to an outstanding citizen of Chapel Hill. The citizens of Chapel Hill are asked to participate in this selection.

The rules for nominating are as follows: nominees must be at least 25 years old; nominees must have resided in the Chapel Hill school district for at least one year; only one nomination per individual is necessary for consideration; no member of the Park and Recreation Board is eligible for selection.

A committee of three Park and Recreation Board members will select the person to receive the award from the list of nominees. If you have nominated someone in the past that has not already won, please submit the name again. Past recipients include Chris Gilbert, Norman Henson, Larry Chatman, Lamar Leonard, Dean Delk, Billy Bateman, and Nancy Moorehead.

All nominations must be received by 4 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 24 at and should be in a sealed envelope with "Citizen of the Year" written on it. Send all nominations to Chapel Hill Town Hall, 2202 Unionville Road, P.O. Box 157, Chapel Hill, TN 37034.
