Obituary: Mattie Johnson Mason

Mattie Johnson Mason, 88, formerly of Marshall County, died Saturday, Nov. 7, 2009, in Cleveland, Ohio, following a brief illness.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Wish and Lucille Johnson of Marshall County.

She is survived by her brother, Joe E. Johnson of Lewisburg; daughters, Jackie Thornhill, Camilla Chamberlain, and Nancy Davis, all of Cleveland; sisters, Malinda Grant and Melissa Johnson, both of Nashville, Alene French of Philadelphia, Pa., and Sarah Williamson, Geraldine Moore, and Virginia Johnson, all of Cleveland; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation and funeral services begin at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 14, at Gethsemane Baptist Church, 1885 East 79th Street, Cleveland, Ohio.
