Obituary: Frank Sweeney

Mr. Frank "Buddy" Sweeney, age 82, of Chapel Hill, TN, died Wed., Nov. 25, 2009 in Franklin, TN. A native of Marshall Co., Mr. Sweeney was a son of the late Frank Morris and Fannie Mai McAdams Sweeney. He was retired from Genesco Inc. and was a member of Promise United Methodist Church in the Holt's Corner community of Marshall Co. In addition to his parents, Mr. Sweeney was preceded in death by a brother, Will Akin Sweeney.

Survived by his wife, Ruth Scott Sweeney of Chapel Hill, TN; 5 sons, Ricky (Beth) Sweeney, Randy (Shelia) Sweeney, Kenny (Joy) Sweeney, Jerry (Connie) Sweeney and Bobby (Teresa) Sweeney all of Chapel Hill, TN; a sister, Helen Brown of Chapel Hill, TN; 8 grandchildren, Ed (Missy) Sweeney, Jill Sweeney, John Sweeney, Ryan Sweeney, Amanda (Jarred) Robinson, Lauren Sweeney, Brittany Sweeney and Megan Sweeney; 1 great grandchild, Sierra Faith Robinson.

Visitation will be Fri., Nov. 27, 2009 from 4 - 8 pm at Lawrence Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 pm, Sat., Nov. 28, 2009 from the chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home with Dr. Adrian Jones, Hal Manire and Stan Butt, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at Swanson Cemetery in Chapel Hill, TN.
