Obituary: Oden Hubert Little

Oden Hubert Little, 92, of the Mount Vernon Community of Rutherford County, died Sunday, Dec. 6, 2009, in Shelbyville.

Mr. Little was a native of Bedford County. He was a farmer and a retired truck driver, having retired from the State of Tennessee's Department of Transportation. He was a member of Mount Vernon Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Elizabeth Stem Little; son, Robert Redmond; and grandson, Ralph "Bubba" Marshall.

He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Clara Mae Ghee Little of Mount Vernon; daughter, Ann Marshall of Eagleville; sister, Frances James of Murfreesboro; three grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 9, from the chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home with Rev. Judy Sides officiating, followed by burial in Cothran Cemetery in the Rover Community of Bedford County.
