Obituary: Dorothy Ellen Davis

Dorothy Ellen Davis, 90, of Lewisburg, died Friday, Dec. 4, 2009, at NHC Oakwood.

Mrs. Davis was a native of Marshall County. She was retired from Faber Castell and was a member of Westvue Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Celia Helton Lancaster;

husband, John L. Davis; sister, Beatrice Griffin; and brothers, R.L., Burt, and Melvin Lancaster.

She is survived by her daughters, Lena Anne Jones, Bessie Marie King, and Mary Lynn Deuermeyer, all of Lewisburg; sons, Bobby Lee Davis of Petersburg and Paul Thomas Davis of Lewisburg; brother, Brandon Lancaster of Lewisburg; 11 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were conducted Monday, Dec. 7, from the chapel of London Funeral Home, followed by burial in Lone Oak Cemetery.
