Registration is now open for the 2010 Lewisburg Parks & Recreation Youth Basketball Leagues for boys and girls ages 7-12. Leagues begin Jan. 9. Registration deadline is 4 p.m. Friday, Dec. 18. For more information, call Jane Tilford at 359-2482.

Signups for Marshall County Youth Baseball and Softball will be held each Saturday in January. They will be held in Lewisburg, Cornersville and Chapel Hill. More information will be released later.

The Marshall County Recycling Convenience Centers will be open from 7 to 11 a.m. and 2 to 6 p.m. on Dec. 23, from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Dec. 24, and will be closed on Dec. 25.

The Marshall County Board of Public Utilities will be closed Thursday, Dec. 24, and Friday, Dec. 25.

"It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year" will be presented at Mooresville Baptist Church by the adult choir. The presentation will be Saturday, Dec. 19, at 7 p.m. and Sunday, Dec. 20, at 10:30 a.m. The church is located at 1030 Bryant Cemetery Road. Everyone is welcome.

The Lewisburg Water and Sewer Board will meet in regular session at 4 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 17, in the board room at 100 Water Street.

American Legion Post 39 will hold its regular monthly meeting at 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 17, in the First Cumberland Presbyterian Church Fellowship Hall, Lewisburg. All members are urged to attend.

Friday, Dec. 18, is an abbreviated day for students in the Marshall County School System. There will be no bus transportation on this day.

The Senior Citizens covered dish luncheon will be held at 11:30 a.m. Friday, Dec. 18, at the Senior Center, 230 College St, Lewisburg. The public is welcome.

Lewisburg Electric System will hold their monthly board meeting at 1 p.m. Friday, Dec. 18, at the LES office, 599 W. Ellington Pkwy. This meeting is open to the public.
