Obituary: Gracie Lee Lynch Allen

Gracie Lee Lynch Allen, 87, of Shelbyville, died Monday, Dec. 14, 2009, at Heritage Medical Center.

Mrs. Allen was a native of Bedford County. She was a homemaker and a member of Unionville United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Hiram Edgar and Mary Ella Davis Lynch; husband, James Richard Allen; and sister, Bessie Underwood.

She is survived by her daughters, Mary Ruth Tucker, Connie Uselton, and Dora Elizabeth "Jane" Stubblefield, all of Shelbyville; sons, James Edward Allen, Charles William Allen, and Thomas Wesley Allen, all of Shelbyville, and David Michael Allen of Manchester; sister, Mabel Cherry of Alabama; and brothers, Thomas Howard Lynch and William Cooper Lynch, both of Unionville, and Edgar "Junior" Lynch of College Grove. Several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 16, from the chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home with Bro. Kenneth Smith officiating, followed by burial in Wheeler Cemetery, Bedford County.
