Funeral services for Mr. Donald Junior "Harry" Harry, 74, of Cookeville, will be held Wednesday, Dec. 16, at 10 a.m. in the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper-Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Zion Cemetery of Jackson County, Tenn. Rev. Kerry Higgins will officiate.
Mr. Harry died Sunday morning, Dec. 13, 2009, in Cookeville Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Harry was born July 8, 1935, in Croswell, Mich., to the late Alonzo and Agatha Levitt Harry.
Mr. Harry was a retired truck driver with Dart Transportation; a U. S. Navy veteran; and attended Hardy's Chapel Freewill Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Dewayne Harry.
Mr. Harry is survived by his girlfriend, Glenna Knopp of Cookeville; four daughters and two sons-in-law, Katherine Alber of Vicksburg, Mich., Deborah and Isaac Wilson and Joyce and Joey Nemith, all of Martinsville, Va., and Teresa Rakes of Cookeville; four grandchildren; and three sisters, Betty Pringle of Carsonville, Mich., and Bertha Jarrett and Diane Irwin, both of Lewisburg.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
Mr. Harry's family will receive friends Wednesday from 9 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. They also received friends Tuesday evening.
