Obituary: Bruno Gustav Kania

Bruno Gustav Kania, 80, of Lewisburg, died Tuesday, Dec. 15, 2009, at his residence.

Mr. Kania was a native of Nordleda, Germany. He was a veteran of the United States Army, and a member of the VFW and the American Legion. He was a retired mechanic and machinist and was a member of the First Cumberland Presbyterian Church of Lewisburg.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Otto Kania and JoAnne Marie Vonspeckelson; wife, Dorothy Kania; four brothers; and one sister.

He is survived by his sons, Don (Sally) Kania of Lewisburg and Scott (Cindy) Kania of Pennsylvania; two sisters; four grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; and one great-grand daughter.

Memorial services for Mr. Kania will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday, Dec. 18, from the chapel of Bills-McGaugh Funeral Home, with Wayne Morgan officiating. Inurnment will take place in New Jersey.
