Myron "Pap" Wolaver, 101, of the Diana Community, died Saturday, Dec. 19, 2009.
Mr. Wolaver was a well-known owner and breeder of walking horses and mules. The highlight and joy of his life was hosting an annual cookout for his many friends and family to celebrate his birthday.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Oliver C. and Maxie Clark Wolaver; and brothers, Steger, Harold, Knox, and Duell Wolaver.
He is survived by his wife of 73 years, Jean Clark Wolaver; daughter, Faye Davis of Nashville; sons, Douglas Clark (Brenda) Wolaver and Myron (Gail) Wolaver Jr., all of Diana; four grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.
Funeral services were conducted Monday, Dec. 21, from the chapel of Carr & Erwin Funeral Home with Bro. Monty Franklin and Bobby Sands officiating, followed by burial in Diana Cemetery.
