Signups for Marshall County Youth Baseball and Softball will be held each Saturday in January. They will be held in Lewisburg, Cornersville and Chapel Hill. More information will be released later.

The Marshall County Memorial Library will be closed Jan. 1, 2, and 3. The library will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Dec. 30 and 31.

All Lewisburg City Offices will be closed Friday, Jan. 1, in observance of New Year's Holiday. The Friday recycle route will be picked up the following Monday.

The office of City Hall in Cornersville will be closed on Jan. 1 in observance of the New Year holiday. The office will re-open at 8 a.m. Monday, Jan. 4.

The Town of Chapel Hill City Offices will be closed on Friday, Jan. 1, in observance of New Year's Day. The offices will reopen at 7:30 a.m. Monday, Jan. 4.

The Election Commission will be closed Friday, Jan. 1, for New Year's Day.

Marshall County Buildings Committee will meet at 5 p.m. Monday, Jan. 4, in Room 2204 of the Courthouse Annex, Lewisburg.

Marshall County Solid Waste Committee will meet at 6 p.m. Monday, Jan. 4, in Room 2204 of the Courthouse Annex, Lewisburg.

The Cornersville Athletic Booster Club will hold a meeting Monday, Jan. 4, 2010, at 7 p.m. in the hospitality room at Cornersville High School Gym. All members are urged to attend.

The Community Development Board of the City of Lewisburg will hold a special call meeting at noon Thursday, Jan. 5, at City Hall to consider a request for a low-interest loan.

The Town of Cornersville will hold its regular meeting of the Board of Mayor and Aldermen at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 7, at City Hall. The meeting is open to the public and all citizens are welcome to attend.

The Airport Board of the City of Lewisburg will meet Thursday,

January 7, 6 p.m. at Ellington Airport, 1877 Franklin Pike.

The Alzheimer's Association will hold a free Lunch and Learn for caregivers from noon to 1 p.m. Friday, Jan. 8, in the gymnasium of the First Presbyterian Church, 101 Mulberry Avenue, Fayetteville. John Hill, attorney with Fraley & Hill, will speak on "Eldar Care Law." The meeting is free of charge and lunch is provided by the Lincoln County Advisory Committee. Anyone caring for someone affected by Alzheimer's or a related disease is encouraged to attend. Please RSVP by Wednesday, Jan. 6. There will be a Red Cross Blood Drive from 12:30 to 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 21, at the Church Street Church of Christ, 305 W. Church St., Lewisburg. In an effort to help provide a smooth flow of donors, the American Red Cross has provided a web site through which you can schedule a donation time.
