Obituary: Sara Prosser Willis

Sara Prosser Willis, 90, of Lewisburg, died Friday, Dec. 25, 2009, at NHC Oakwood.

Mrs. Willis was a native of Marshall County. She was a former employee of Genesco and was a member of the Church Street Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by her parents, W.L. and Effie Ramsey Prosser; husband, Berdell Willis; brother, John Allen Prosser; and sister, Katherine Andrews.

She is survived by her daughters, Jane (Wayne) Aldridge of Lewisburg and Sonia (Tom) Bratten of Atlanta, Ga.; son, Phil (Janice) Willis of Lewisburg; sister, Mary Ruth Davis of Franklin; six grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were conducted Sunday, Dec. 27, from the chapel of London Funeral Home, followed by burial in Short Cemetery.
