Margaret Elizabeth Cobb Morton, 66, of Chapel Hill, died Thursday, Dec. 31, 2009, in Alive Hospice in Madison.
Mrs. Morton was a native of Marshall County. She was a homemaker and a member of Parkview Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Baxter and Hettie Sue Edwards Reed; first husband, Joe Thomas Cobb; second husband, Paul Morton; brothers, William Loyd Edwards and Thomas Edward Fowler; and granddaughter, Pamela Sue Cobb.
She is survived by her sons, Joe Cobb of Belfast, Andy Cobb of Lewisburg, and Paul Morton Jr. of Chapel Hill; daughters, Dorothy Sue Mosier of Unionville and Wanda Jean McBride of Shelbyville; half-sister, Jennie Maude Luna of Alabama; 11 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted Sunday, Jan. 3, from the chapel of London Funeral Home with Tom Sumners officiating, followed by burial in Bryant Cemetery.
The pallbearers were David Wisdom, Paul Morton, Mark Rodgers, Wayne Ham, William Cobb, Jeremy Moshier, Daniel Williams, and Barry Long.
