Another car burglary arrest made
Another arrest has been made in the Lewisburg Police Department case alleging car burglaries five weeks ago, the investigating officer has reported.
Brandi Clutts, 25, of Flintville, was arrested Thursday by Lewisburg Police Detective Sgt. David Henley who charged her with seven counts of criminal responsibility for burglary and one count of being criminally responsible for the fraudulent use of a credit card.
Clutts is being held in the Marshall County Jail on $80,000 bond.
Her arrest and others are tied to vehicle burglaries reported on Dec. 9 in Lewisburg at the parking lots of: London Funeral Home, 324 West Church St.; Mexico Lindo Restaurant, 1063 Nashville Highway; East Commerce Baptist Church, 560 East Commerce St.; Parkview Baptist Church, 1380 South Ellington Parkway; and the First Baptist Church parking area on Water Street.
Clutts "was present in the vehicle with her brother, Justin, and James Bragg when the offenses in Lewisburg occurred," Henley said.
"Felony warrants resulting from the burglaries in Lewisburg have been issued for the arrest of Justin Clutts who is currently in custody in Scottsboro, Ala. on related charges," Henley said. "He will be transferred here when he is released from Scottsboro's custody.
"Felony warrants have also been issued for the arrest of James Bragg," the detective said. "All three are facing multiple charges both in Lewisburg and other jurisdictions for theft of property, vehicle burglary, credit card fraud, possession of stolen property and auto theft."
