The Marshall County Youth Baseball and Softball Registration will be held Jan. 23 and 30 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Registration will be held at Lewisburg Recreation Center, Chapel Hill High School old gym, Cornersville High School cafeteria, Marshall County Baseball Complex; or register online at www.mcybs.com.

Youth Villages offers free orientation sessions for people of all ages interested in learning more about becoming foster parents. Free orientation sessions are set for Jan. 22 at 3 p.m. and Jan 26 at noon at the Youth Villages office in Columbia at 115 Dyer Street, Suite 1.

The First United Methodist Church of Lewisburg will present Soul Cafe, starting at 5:15 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 20, at the McKnight Ministry Center. There will be gourmet food, followed by a variety of workshops, including Grace Zone for children 4-12. Childcare for younger children will be available.
