Obituary: Mary Lucille Edmondson Scott

Mrs. Mary Lucille Edmondson Scott, age 79, of Chapel Hill, Tennessee, died Monday, January 18, 2010 in Columbia, Tennessee. Mrs. Scott was born in Marshall County and was a daughter of the late Ira Horace and Minnie Elizabeth Gentry Edmondson. She was a member of the Chapel Hill United Methodist Church and retired from Faber-Castell Corp. of Lewisburg after 41 1/2 years of service. Mrs. Scott was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Cecil Scott who died in 1973.

Mrs. Scott is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Linda Faye and Ronnie Street, Chapel Hill, TN; son and daughter-in-law, Cecil Ray and Evelyn Scott, Chapel Hill, TN; two sisters, Ethel (Bill) Williams, Lakeland, FL, Nancy (Joe) Vance, Windsor, PA; brother, William T. (Wilma) Edmondson, Slidell, LA; four grandchildren, William "Jay" Newsom, Cecil Ray "Jr" Scott, Stacey Street, Leah Street; four great grandchildren; close cousin, Emogene and Les Helton; nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be Tuesday, January 19, 2010 from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Lawrence Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 20, 2010 from the chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home with Rev. Mark Youngman officiating. Burial will follow in Moore Cemetery in the Ralley Hill Community of Maury County.
