Obituary: Douglas Leon Waggoner
Douglas Leon Waggoner, 78, of Cornersville, died Saturday, Jan. 16, 2010, at his residence.
Mr. Waggoner was a native of Williamson County. He was a retired farmer, a member of the International Harvester Club of Alabama, and was of the Church of Christ faith.
He was preceded in death by his father, Alma Waggoner, and grandparents, John and Mary Waggoner.
He is survived by his mother, Louise Cook Waggoner; loving wife of 39 years, Darlene Mitchell Waggoner of Cornersville; and daughter, Jennifer Stacy of Cornersville.
Visitation with the family will be from 11 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 20, at Bills-McGaugh Funeral Home.
Graveside services for Mr. Waggoner will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 20, at Mount Hope Cemetery in Franklin with Marlin Finley officiating.
The honorary pallbearers will be Robert Primm, Charles Witherspoon, James Huffman, David Burba, Leonard Stevens, Ben Porterfield, Mike Irvin, Henry Jones, Quenten Liggett, Jimmy Pruitt, and Norris Lentz
Memorial donations may be made to Five Points Volunteer Fire Department.
