To the Editor
Each of us as Americans should be concerned at the administration's decision to try terrorists, who have confessed to planning 9-11, as common criminals in civilian court in New York. To add insult to injury, the security costs alone will approach $100,000,000 of taxpayer money.
Now we have the Christmas Eve bomber, who tried to kill hundreds of Americans over Detroit, also to be tried as a common criminal and not as a terrorist.
Not treating these terrorists as enemy combatants compromises the security of every American.
In 2008 we heard lots about "hope and change." Now we need COMMON SENSE!"
