Thomas H. Lynch, 82, of Chapel Hill, died Thursday, Jan. 21, 2010, in Shelbyville.
Mr. Lynch was born in Bedford County. He served in the Army and was a retired highway construction worker. Mr. Lynch was a member of North Fork Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Hiram Edgar Lee and Mary Ella Davis Lynch; sisters, Viola Lynch, Gracie Allen, Bessie Underwood, Alice Lynch, and Susie M. Lynch; and brothers, J.R. Lynch and Robert Edward Lynch.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Mary Rollins Lynch of Chapel Hill; daughters, Sandra Neese of Shelbyville and Vina Sue Winstead of Eagleville; sons, Bobby Lynch, Thomas G. Lynch and Jeff Lynch, all of Unionville; brothers, William Cooper Lynch of Unionville and Edgar Lynch Jr. of College Grove; sister, Mable Cherry of Lewisburg; 13 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted Saturday, Jan. 23, from the chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home with Bro. Jeremy Vanatta and Bro. Mike Williams officiating, followed by burial in Pleasant Valley Cemetery near Chapel Hill.
The pallbearers were Bobby Lynch, Tommy Lynch, Jeff Lynch, Randy Taylor, Wayne Neese and Skeet Winstead.
