...WINTER STORM WARNING CONTINUES FOR MIDDLE TENNESSEE THROUGH

SATURDAY MORNING...

.A LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM MOVING ALONG THE GULF COAST WILL CONTINUE

TO SPREAD WINTRY PRECIPITATION ACROSS MIDDLE TENNESSEE. SNOW...SLEET..AND

FREEZING RAIN WILL CONTINUE ACROSS THE AREA...MAINLY SNOW NORTH

AND A MIX SOUTH. SIGNIFICANT ADDITIONAL SNOWFALL AMOUNTS ARE

EXPECTED WITH ANYWHERE FROM 4 TO 9 INCHES OVER THE NORTH HALF OF

THE MID STATE...AND FROM 1 TO 4 INCHES IN THE FAR SOUTH.

ADDITIONALLY...ICE ACCUMULATION IS ALSO POSSIBLE ACROSS THE

SOUTH...WITH ONE QUARTER TO AS MUCH AS THREE QUARTERS OF AN INCH

EXPECTED.

ACROSS THE SOUTH HALF OF MIDDLE TENNESSEE...CHANGING TO ALL

SNOW AFTER MIDNIGHT. AROUND ONE QUARTER TO ONE HALF OF AN INCH

OF ICE AND 1 TO 4 INCHES OF SNOW IS EXPECTED. LOCALIZED AMOUNTS

OF THREE QUARTERS OF AN INCH OF ICE IS ALSO POSSIBLE.

* OTHER IMPACTS: TRAVEL WILL BECOME HAZARDOUS ACROSS THE AREA AND

POWER OUTAGES MAY OCCUR DUE TO ICE.
