Columbia State Community College's department of Access and Diversity will host "From Greensboro to the Age of Obama: Feb. 1960-Nov. 2008," a lecture by Colia L. Clark, a veteran of the Civil Rights Movement, from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 10, in Columbia State's Ledbetter Auditorium.

Clark will also hold a Beloved Community Conflict Resolution Workshop the same day at 2 p.m. in Room 122 of Columbia State's Clement building.

The February CHYFL board meeting will be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 10, at the Chapel Hill Fire Hall. This meeting is open to the public.

The First United Methodist Church of Lewisburg will hold the final session of Soul Cafe, starting at 5:15 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 10, at the McKnight Ministry Center. There will be gourmet food, followed by a variety of workshops, including Grace Zone for children 4-12. Childcare for younger children will be available.

The committee which has been working at Fifty Forward since 2004 to produce a history book is almost through. The program will include a slide show of pictures and an opportunity to read part of the manuscript.
