Obituary: Jean Fitzgerald

Jean Fitzgerald, 78, of Lewisburg, formerly of the Milltown Community of Marshall County, died Monday, March 1, 2010, at her residence after an extended illness.

Mrs. Fitzgerald was born in Maury County. She was a homemaker and retired in 1993 from Cosmolab.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Morgan "DeDe" and Sadie Ring Johnson; husband, James "Buddy" Fitzgerald; and brothers, Bill and Jerry Johnson.

She is survived by her daughters, Dottie (Wayne) Malugin and Shelia (Dwayne) Hobby, all of Lewisburg, and Connie (Jim) Bentley of Lawrenceburg; son, David (Myra) Carroll of Cornersville; sister, Joyce Williams of Lewisburg; six grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and eight stepgreat-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 3, from the chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home with Bobby Sampson and Tony Lancaster officiating. Burial will follow in Ring Cemetery in the Pottsville Community of Maury County.
