Marie Davis Coggin, 83, died Thursday, March 11, 2010, at AdamsPlace in Murfreesboro.
Mrs. Coggin was a native of Marshall County and a graduate of Cornersville High School. She was a member of North Boulevard Church of Christ and most recently attended the AdamsPlace Church of Christ services. She was a loving and Christian wife, mother, and friend.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John Grady and Lola Franklin Davis, and beloved aunt and uncle, Charlie and Nona Davis.
She is survived by her husband of 63 years, William Harold Coggin of Murfreesboro, who was her faithful caregiver; son, Gerald (Joanne) Coggin of Murfreesboro; daughter, Deborah (Hillary) Broome of Adel, Ga.; five grandchildren, David (Maria), Robert (Betsy), and Adam (Holly) Coggin, all of Murfreesboro, Jeremy Broome of Cookeville, and Amy Broome of Adel, Ga.; and five great-grandchildren, Carl, Benjamin, Slater, Nikolai, and McCall Coggin, all of Murfreesboro.
Funeral services were conducted Sunday, March 14, at Woodfin Memorial Chapel in Murfreesboro with Hillary Broome and Gerald Coggin officiating, followed by burial in Evergreen Cemetery.
The pallbearers were David Coggin, Robert Coggin, Adam Coggin, Jeremy Broome, Amy Broome, Bobby Coggin, Coble Coggin, Jake Pinnix, and Terry Mitchell.
The family would like to thank the staff at AdamsPlace, Caris Hosppice, and her caregivers for their excellent care, support and compassion. Memorial donations may be made to the World Bible School ministry at North Boulevard Church of Christ, or Caris Hospice.
