Bro. Claud V. Roberts, 73, of the Farmington Community of Marshall County, died Saturday, March 20, 2010, in Lewisburg.
Bro. Roberts was born in Marshall County. He served in the United States Army and was a retired tool and die engineer with Cummins Diesel of Indiana. Bro. Roberts was a retired pastor of Belfast Baptist Church and presently was a member of Farmington Baptist Church. He was also past master of Camon Lodge #343 F&AM, Clifford, Ind.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Mary Elizabeth Watkins Roberts; daughter, Judy Lee Harrison; and sister, Frances Sanders.
He is survived by his wife, Edna Pearl Howard Roberts of Farmington; daughters, Judy Ann (Randy) Walker of Belfast, Marilyn Holt of College Grove, Polly Ann (Chris) McQueen of Indianapolis, Ind., and Mary Lou (Greg) Richcreek of the Laws Hill Community; sons, Jerry Wayne (Debbie) Roberts of Lewisburg and Eddie (Sandra) Roberts of Cornersville; sisters, Evelyn (Rufus) Whaley of Laws Hill and Flossie Sanders of Shelbyville, Ind.; brothers, Robert Roberts of Shelbyville, Ind. and Ray Lawson of Ocala, Fla.; 16 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted Monday, March 22, from the chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home with Bro. Wayne Cable and Bro. Danny Jones officiating, followed by burial in Hopper Cemetery in Marshall County.
Memorial donations may be given toward burial expenses.
