Obituary: Rebecca Cashion Gleghorn
Rebecca "Becky" Cashion Gleghorn, 69, of Petersburg, died Friday, April 9, 2010, at her residence.
Mrs. Gleghorn was a retired cook at Unity School and a member of the Friendship Church of Christ. She was known as the "Cake Lady" for all the many cakes she baked for family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Allen and Lillie Mae Porter Cashion; husband, Phillip Morris Gleghorn; and brothers, Thomas Allen and James Franklin Cashion.
She is survived by her two daughters, Anita Carol (Kevin) Tanner of Taft and Patricia Faye Gleghorn of Petersburg; four sons, Terry (Christy) Gleghorn, Melvin (Camille) Gleghorn, and Dale Gleghorn, all of Petersburg, and Kelvin (Sherry) Gleghorn of Lewisburg; sisters, Barbara Whitsett and Celia Cashion, both of Lewisburg; brother, David Cashion of Belfast; 11 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral services were conducted Sunday, April 11, at Higgins Funeral Home with Bro. Ellis Coats and Bro. Brian Stone officiating, followed by burial beside her husband in Old Orchard Cemetery.
