Obituary: Andrew Jackson Walker
Andrew Jackson Walker, 77, of Somerset, Ky., died April 7, 2010, at his residence.
Mr. Walker was born in Lynnville. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War and retired after 31 years as an assembly line worker for the Cadillac Plant in Detroit, Mich. Mr. Walker was a Christian of the Baptist faith.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward Kelsey and Mary Clark Walker; brother, William Edward Walker; and sister, Angeline Monday.
He is survived by his wife, Bertha Mae Compton Walker, whom he married on July 24, 1969, in Monticello, Ky.; brother, Fate Walker of Lynnville; sister, Elizabeth Griggs of Wyandotte, Mich.; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Mr. Walker were held Saturday, April 10, at the Chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. Gary Wilson officiating, followed by burial in the White Oak Cemetery, Nancy, Ky.
The family requests memorial donations to the American Cancer Society and/or the American Heart Association.
