Marshall County Budget Committee will be meeting at 5:30 p.m. in Room 2209 of the Courthouse Annex, Lewisburg, on May 4, 6, 11, and 13 to start the budget process for Fiscal Year 2010-11.

The Women's Guild of St. John's Church needs yarn to make hats for the VA Hospital. Please phone Arlene at 293-2591 if you have any yarn we can use.

Kindergarten registration for the 2010-2011 school year in the Marshall County School System will be held from 2 to 5 p.m. Tuesday, May 4. Lewisburg students who plan to attend Oak Grove Elementary, Westhills Elementary or Marshall Elementary School will register at the Central Office, 700 Jones Circle; Cornersville Elementary students will register at CES and Chapel Hill Elementary students will register at CHES. Children must be 5 years old on or before Sept. 30, 2010, in order to attend kindergarten during the 2010-2011 school year. Documents are required, however, students will be pre-registered as long as the documentation is turned in prior to August 1. For more information, call the Central Office at 359-1581.

Voluntary Pre-K registration for the 2010-2011 school year in the Marshall County School System will be held from 2 to 5 p.m. Tuesday, May 4, at Oak Grove Elementary School, Lewisburg. Children must be 4 years old on or before Sept. 30, 2010, in order to attend the Pre-K program during the 2010-2011 school year. Documents, including proof of income, are required. A local club is being formed for the purpose of promoting beekeeping. Anyone in Marshall, Maury, Bedford and adjoining counties who is interested is welcome to attend. Refreshments will be served.
