Obituary: Mary Campbell Hughes

Mary Campbell Hughes, 89, of Cornersville, died May 1, 2010, in NHC Oakwood Healthcare.

Mrs. Hughes was a native of Giles County, and daughter of the late Henry Jordan and Amanda Randolph Campbell. She was a homemaker and member of the Primitive Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Tyree Campbell, and three sisters, Robbie White, Florene Lawhorn, and Sarah Woodard.

She is survived by a son, Tony Hargrove of Cornersville; two daughters, Catherine Harmond of Sylacauga, Ala. and Jeannette Matthews of Lewisburg; brother, Chester Campbell of Lawrenceburg; sister, Syble Bassham of Pulaski; eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were conducted Monday, May 3, from the chapel of London Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery at Duncanville.
