Obituary: Alma Lucille Filley

Alma Lucille Filley, 97, of Cornersville, died Monday, May 10, 2010, in Maury Regional Hospital.

Mrs. Filley was a native of Liberty, Neb. and daughter of the late Charles W. and Effie P. Crosier Dewey. She was in the education field for over 45 years teaching in Nebraska and Missouri before retiring and coming to live with her daughter and son-in-law in Cornersville. She was a graduate of Peru State College in Nebraska. She was a member of the order of Eastern Star in Nebraska and member of the Methodist Church.

Preceded in death by her husband Hubert Filley in 2005, she is survived by one daughter, Janet Moses, and son-in-law, Carl Moses; four grandchildren; five stepgrandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Filley's body will be cremated and a memorial service will be conducted at a later date in Nebraska. Her cremains will be buried in Lincoln Memorial Gardens in Lincoln, Neb.
