Greetings from Lynnville Tennessee!

Hope everyone is making plans to attend the "Quilt Show" and "Luncheon" to be held in Lynnville on Saturday, May 15, at the Lynnville Municipal Building and C. T. Reid Theater. Anyone with quilts may put them in the quilt show for everyone to see. Call 931-527-0032 or 931-527-3922 to place your quilts in the show. The quilt show will start at 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Admission will be charged. The luncheon will begin at 11 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. The menu will be spiral ham, potato salad, green beans, congealed salad, rolls, peach pie, tea, and coffee. Come have a great meal and enjoy the quilt show in Lynnville, Tennessee. The quilt show and luncheon is being sponsored by the Lynnville Community Club.

The Lynnville Literary and Fine Arts Society will meet on Thursday evening, May 13, in the fellowship hall of the Lynnville First Presbyterian Church at 7 p.m. Following the potluck dinner, Mrs. Teresa Williamson will be the guest speaker.

Miss Judy's Academy in Lynnville will present a program on Monday evening, May 17 at 6:30 p.m. in the C. T. Reid Theater. All are invited to attend this program.

Bobby Allen Hollis Jr. and Janet Tuckerman will present Jason and Jared Moore in their Senior Piano Recital on Tuesday, May 25 at 7 p.m. in the sanctuary of the Lynnville First Presbyterian Church with a reception to follow in the fellowship hall of the church.

Lynnville's annual "Blackberry Festival" will be held on Saturday, June 26. There will be a full day of activities for everyone to enjoy. Vendors wanting to set up and sell their wares should contact 931-527-0032 or 931-527-3922.

The Robert B. Jones High School Alumni Meeting will be held on Saturday, June 5 in the Lynnville Municipal Building beginning at 11 a.m. with a potluck lunch at noon. A program will follow the meal. We want to make this the biggest meeting we have ever had. Contact all of your classmates and ask them to attend. Hope to see all of you Jones High Tigers on June 5.

Miss Judy's Academy located in Lynnville will start summer school on June 1 for three to 12 year olds. The new school year will begin Aug. 2 for three year olds and pre-school and after school care. Decoration Day was held at 3 p.m. in the historic Lynnwood Cemetery on Sunday, May 9.

The Lynnville United Methodist Church will have Vacation Bible School starting Monday, June 7 thru Friday, June 11. The time for the Bible School will be 9 until 11:30 a.m.

News from the campus of Richland Middle and High School:

Saturday, May 15, at 6 p.m., the Richland High School FFA Chapter will have their annual banquet in the school cafeteria.

Graduation will be held on Thursday, May 20, in the Dwight Clark Gymnasium beginning at 7 p.m.

The school yearbooks are being given out this week. There are some extra books if anyone would like to purchase one.

The Senior Class and Sponsors enjoyed the "Senior Picnic" on Friday, May 7. The picnic was held on the football field.

The 2010 QUEST, the Richland High School yearbook, is dedicated to Mrs. Jennifer Hawkins, math instructor of Richland High School. Mrs. Hawkins has been at Richland High for three years. She teaches geometry, pre-calculus, honors pre-cal, and calculus. Mrs. Hawkins sponsors the Calculus Club and FCA. She was elected by her fellow teachers this year as "Teacher of the Year." We thank Mrs. Hawkins for her faithful service and dedication to education.

Tuesday, June 1, is the last day of school for teachers and students. Students will receive their report cards.

We thank Mrs. Jane Worn, Spanish Teacher at RHS, for her many years of service. Mrs. Worn will be retiring at the end of this school year.
