Lewisburg Police are investigating a series of burglaries that took place Friday, May 28.

Keys were taken from two vehicles parked at 875 Cornersville Road, but nothing else was missing, according to reports by Lewisburg Police Detective James L. Johnson.

The same night, at 865 Cornersville Road, keys were taken from a truck and used to gain entry to the basement of the residence, Johnson said. Again, nothing was reported missing.

LPD Officer Seth Feinson wrote the report on an incident the same night at 925 Cornersville Road, where keys found in a vehicle were used to enter the residence sometime between 1:30 and 6:30 a.m. According to his report, the victim advised Feinson that "when she woke up this morning her back door was propped open and the keys from her car" were in the lock. Her purse, containing $650 cash, plus credit cards, had been taken, and the thief "went through every room and every drawer and had taken a lot of jewelry," Feinson wrote.

Johnson says a fourth residence on Cornersville Road was entered in the same manner and some fishing poles were taken, but that report was not available at press time.

"We're still developing leads on suspects," Johnson said Wednesday afternoon. He requested anyone with information to call the detective division of the LPD at 359-3800, or Crimestoppers at 359-4867.
