John J. Conlon, 87, of Lincoln County, died Tuesday, June 1, 2010, at his residence.
A native of New York City, Mr. Conlon was the son of late Thomas Bernard Conlon and Delia Conlon. He was a member of the Catholic Church and served in the Army Air Corps in North Africa and Italy during World War II.
In addition to his parents, a brother James Conlon preceded him in death.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Helen Conlon; two sons, John Conlon Jr. of New York State and Kevin (Tina) Conlon of Petersburg; one daughter, Carolyn Conlon of Pennsylvania; and one sister, Alice Catts, and nephew, Bill Catts, both of Monticello, Fla.
A memorial service for Mr. Conlon will be announced at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Alzheimer's Association of Tullahoma, Tenn., the Lincoln County Red Cross, or the Lincoln County Library.
