Joe Mac Callahan, 73, of Lewisburg, died Wednesday, June 23, 2010, at NHC-Oakwood, following an extended illness.
Mr. Callahan was a native of Marshall County, the son of the late Lillie Mai Harwell and Marvin B. Callahan. He worked as a self-employed construction worker.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his two ex-wives, Kay Callahan and Rozella Callahan; two sons, Daniel Joseph Callahan and Rickey Joel Callahan; and two grandchildren, Matthew Thomas Lentz and Madison Nicole Lentz.
He is survived by two daughters, Michelle (Chuck) Lentz of Shelbyville and Tisa (Doug) Chadwell of Gallatin; four brothers, Marvin Callahan Jr. of Murfreesboro, James R. (Sharon) Callahan of Cornersville, and Jimmy (Ruby) Callahan and Billy (Patricia) Callahan, all of Lewisburg; three sisters, Margaret (Glenn) Haynes of Chapel Hill, and Sandra (Larry) Barcheers and Maxine Callahan Luna, all of Lewisburg; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Mr. Callahan will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 26, from the chapel of Bills-McGaugh Funeral Home with Roy Holman officiating. Burial will follow in Lone Oak Cemetery.
Visitation with the family will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, June 25, at the funeral home.
