Gladys Lee Ring Scritchfield Bramlett, 86, of Gainesville, Ga., died Wednesday, June 30, 2010.
Mrs. Bramlett was born March 21, 1924, in the Caney Spring Community of Marshall County and was a daughter of the late Cecil and Nellie Osteen Ring. She was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church for over 50 years, where she taught Sunday School and sang alto in the choir. Mrs. Bramlett was a dedicated and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend to all who knew her.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Gail Scritchfield who was killed in service during World War II. Also preceding her in death was her second husband of 38 years, James Bramlett, and a brother, Tommy Ring.
Survivors include her three sons and daughters-in-law, Russell and Jan Scritchfield of Bogart, Ga., Norman and Janice Bramlett of Alpharetta, Ga., and Chuck and Apryl Bramlett of Flowery Branch, Ga.; a sister, Nell Ring of Mason, Ohio; seven granddaughters and seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. Friday, July 2, at Lawrence Funeral Home.
Graveside services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 3, at Allen Cemetery in the Caney Spring Community of Marshall County.
