Obituary: Marjorie Nina Marie Saxton Walton

Marjorie Nina Marie Saxton Walton, 61, of Chapel Hill, died Monday, July 19, 2010, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

Mrs. Walton was born in Vallejo, Calif., and was a daughter of the late Eugene Gilbert George and Marjorie Eleno Dykes Saxton. Marjorie was a homemaker and former nursing aide and was a member of Pinewood Baptist Church in Nunnelly, Tenn. She was also a member of F.O.E. #3263 and American Legion Post #235 in Excelsior Springs, Mo.

Mrs. Walton is survived by her husband, David Walton of Chapel Hill; daughters, Brenda Ann Bowers of Turlock, Calif., Robin Marie Beldon Wilson of Las Vegas, Nev., and Kristina Darlene Walton Stilwell of Gocian, Calif.; son, Kenneth Eugene Walton of Fresno, Calif.; sisters, Marjorie Jean Landon of Arkansas, Barbara Dianne Hawk of Missouri, Susan Louise Jones of Idaho, Rebecca Ann Sabbott of South Carolina, and Evangline Ruth Geraboldie of Alaska; brother, Eugene Lloyd George Saxton of Las Vegas, Nev.; 12 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Funeral services were conducted Saturday, July 24, from the chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home with Rev. Tim McGehee officiating. Burial followed in Swanson Cemetery, Chapel Hill.
