The little hamlet of Belfast will be bustling this Friday night when the Belfast Lions Club present the 50th Annual Walking Horse Show. The show begins at 6 p.m. at S. W. Beech Memorial Field.

There are 27 classes with seven of those being Riders' Cup. Total prize money for this 50th annual show is over $6,000. The walking horse stake class has prize money of $700.

The judge for the show is Link Webb of Lewisburg. Serving as master of ceremonies is Bobby Sands of Columbia and the photographer is Jack Greene of Christiana.

Winners from Belfast have traditionally gone on the become world grand champions at the Tennessee Walking Horse National Celebration.

The show manager is Thomas "Bubba" Crockett and the show secretary is Nancy Lynn Beech Greene.

Come early and eat at their famous concession stand. They are known for their country ham sandwiches and homemade pies and ice cream. The Lewisburg Lions Club and Liberty Lions Club assist the Belfast club each year.

On Thursday night, the 29th Annual Fayetteville Blue Ribbon Horse Show will be held at the Lincoln County Horseman's & 4-H Show Grounds beginning at 6:30 p.m.

On Saturday night, the 104th Annual Wartrace Horse Show will be held at the Cradle of the Tennessee Walking Horse in Wartrace. It will be held at Jernigan Field beginning at 6 p.m.
