James Stacey Doss, 96, of Lewisburg, died Friday, Aug. 6, 2010, at NHC Lewisburg.
Mr. Doss was a native of Giles County, and son of the late Mahlon Stacey and Lorena Pearson Doss. He was a retired warehouse supervisor from Heil-Quaker Corporation and also retired from Century 21 Tankersley Realty and Auction Company. He served his country in the U.S. Army during WW II, and was a member of the Diana Methodist Church and attended Lewisburg First United Methodist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Opal Turner and Dorothy Drake, and in 2008 by his wife of 57 years, Ruth Staggs Doss.
He is survived by four nieces, Mary Johnson of Cornersville, Kyle Watkins of Lewisburg, Brenda Teegarden of Pulaski, and Jean Sneed of Indiana; and one nephew, Wayne Turner of California; and sister-in-law, Louise Crowe of Columbia.
Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, Aug. 10, from the chapel of London Funeral Home with burial to follow in Middleview Memorial Gardens with military honors.
