Police ask for help with vehicle vandalism

Friday, September 17, 2010

The Lewisburg Police Department is asking for the public's help in finding the person or persons who vandalized a series of vehicles here in August and September.

Vandalisms to six vehicles were reported to have occurred at Saddlewood Apartments, 951 West Ellington Parkway, on Aug. 15, according to a press release by Detective Sgt. David Henley.

Other vehicles were vandalized on Aug. 19 and Sept. 7 while parked at residences on Saddlewood Drive.

Most of the victims reported paint damage, likely caused by some type of sharp instrument, while some also reported dents and window damage, according to Henley.

The motive remains unclear, Henley stated, and it is not known whether the incidents are connected, or "just a series of random malicious acts."

Detectives appreciate the public's continued support and ask that anyone with information relating to these, or any other, crimes, call Crime Stoppers at 359-4867 or the Lewisburg Police Criminal Investigations Division at 359-3800.
