Joe Randy Lovell, 51, a longtime resident of Udall, Kansas, passed away Friday, Sept. 24, 2010, at his residence in Elk Falls, Kansas, following an illness.
Randy Lovell was born Aug. 28, 1959, in Athens, Ala. He graduated high school in Fayetteville, Tenn. and worked as a painter and drywall contractor. He was a bluegrass and Gospel musician, a regular at the Walnut Valley Festival and the Fish House in Sedan, Kansas.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Magdalene Ables Lovell.
He is survived by his father, E. N. Lovell of Gardendale, Ala.; sons, Russell Lovell of Rock, Kansas, and Lyndon Lovell of Udall; sisters, Beth Lovell Staggs and Hope Lovell Fleming, both of Lewisburg; brothers, Phillip "Bama" (Terrie) Lovell of Elk Falls and Eddie Lovell of Toney, Ala.; and three grandchildren, Sabian, Camden and Corigan.
Cremation has taken place and services will be announced at a later date. Arrangements were under the direction of the David W. Barnes Funeral Home, 209 North Douglas, Sedan, KS 67361.
