A 2006 Ford F350 pickup truck, worth $25,000, was stolen from the parking lot at Preston Hopkins Field, Lewisburg, on Oct. 1. The owner told police he left the game in a friend's vehicle and when he came back for his truck it was gone.

Other thefts and vandalism reported

* A torque wrench, bell housing, and miscellaneous tools, total value: $600, were taken from a home on Belfast-Farmington Road on Sept. 29.

* The coin changer at Big Kahuna Car Wash was vandalized by someone attempting to steal money from it. Owner estimated it would cost $500 to get the machine working again, and told law enforcement it was the third time this had happened.

* Between midnight Sept. 22 and 10 a.m. Sept. 23, $240 cash, a black leather purse valued at $50, and a passport, were stolen from a Nissan Versa that was parked unlocked at Ellington House Apartments.

* Between 2 p.m. and 11 p.m. Sept. 25, someone threw a rock through the bedroom window of a home on 4th Avenue North, entered the residence and took a child's prescription medicine (liquid Lortab), $10 cash, and a small silver and diamond ring. Owner estimates it will cost $150 to fix the window.

* Between 5 p.m. Sept. 24 and 5:30 p.m. Sept. 26, someone entered a home on Murrey Street, used the computer, and stole a wireless network adapter for an Xbox 360 and an Xbox Web cam. Owner estimated the value of the missing items at $130. There were no signs of forced entry.

* A Lewisburg woman's check for $10 was altered to $100 before it was presented for payment at Bank of America. She told police she had written the check to a Columbia man for repairs he did in her home.

* Mekale D. Jones, 21, Nashville Highway. Bond: $1,000; court date: Oct. 18.

Arrested and charged with driving under the influence

* David W. Deridder, 48, Park Avenue. Bond: $3,000; court date: Oct. 18. This is Deridder's fifth DUI. He was also charged with violation of the open container law; and cited for equipment violation, registration law, and no insurance.

* April L. Whitehead, 37, Hill Street. Bond: $1,500; court date: Nov. 1. Also charged with driving on a suspended license; and cited for light law violation.
