Crime Stoppers seeks help with 2 burglaries

sCrime Stoppers is looking for help solving two burglaries that happened on Tuesday, Oct. 19, probably during the day.

The front door of the home at 1501 River Road was forced open and guns, jewelry and a sword were taken.

The front door of the home at 2300 Blackwell Road was also forced open, and a book of checks, money and DVDs were taken from that residence.

The two houses are almost 12 miles apart: one is north of Chapel Hill, and the other is south of that town.

If anybody has any information on these burglaries, they are urged to call Crime Stoppers at 359-4867. All calls are anonymous and rewards are paid for tips leading to an arrest.
