October is almost a memory, but not before we have the Forrest Homecoming. Friday, October 23 is the date.

The Rockets Homecoming Queen is Jatana Vagts; senior attendant, Lacey Pratt; junior attendant, Hayleigh Bonillas; sophomore attendant, Amber Bourland and freshman attemdant. Kaitlin Toombs.

Don't think CHES is going to be left out. They have a Queen , Madison Curtis and a King, Hayden Pate.

There are also two representatives from each fifth grade class.

From Ms. Brown's class, the representatives are Caitllyn Lester and Hayden Pate; Carly Keith and Jarvis Lyttle were chosen from Ms. Curtis' class; Ms. Hileman's class selecxted Jordan Yelensky and Josh Brown; Alex Huey and Madison Curtis will represent Ms. Gabard's class; Ms. Demello's class will have Sarah Winters and Layton Bennett as their representatives and Jasmine Runk and J. T. Ferguson will be representing Ms. Yost's class.

The Homecoming Parade will begin at 12:30 p.m. Crowning of the Queen will follow at the new football field at Forrest School.

Find a spot next to the highway early - it fills up fast.

Homecoming activities start at 6:45 p.m. with the crowning of the Queen and presentation of her court, follwed by recognition of the senior football players and managers.

During half-time of the game with Community School, you'll hear an amazing performance by theRocket Band of Blue.

Sounds like a great day.

Next Sunday, Oct. 31, is Halloween. There are several "haunted woods" and Halloween parties between now and Halloween. Be sure to have plenty of treats for the spooks so you won't be tricked.

Have a wonderful week and GO Rockets.
