John Hershel "Bo" Culbertson II, 69, of Tullahoma, died Wednesday, Nov. 17, 2010, at Harton Regional Medical Center.
A native of Farmington, he was the son of the late John Hershel Culbertson I and Eva Ashton Sturkey.
He was a retired schoolteacher, having taught at Connelly School in Lewisburg, West Middle School, and Tullahoma High School. He coached football at the middle school and basketball at the high school. Mr. Culbertson was also a medicinal fur and root dealer. He was a member of First Christian Church in Tullahoma.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sons, Dennis Ray Culbertson and Robert Troy Culbertson.
He is survived by his wife, Dottie Ritter Culbertson of Tullahoma; son, John H. Culbertson III of Tullahoma; daughter, Kelly (Toby) Schindel of Normandy; two sisters, Marie (Frankie) Delffs of Normandy and Peggy (Wibby) Crunk of Cornersville; and one granddaughter, Ashley Schindel of Athens, Ala.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Nov. 20, at First Christian Church, Tullahoma, with Rev. Tom Murdock officiating, followed by burial in Lone Oak Cemetery, Lewisburg.
Memorial donations may be made to the First Christian Church Building Fund.
