Obituary: Frances Jeter Wells Hobby

Frances Jeter Wells Hobby, 93, died Monday evening, Nov. 22, 2010, at NHC Oakwood in Lewisburg.

Mrs. Hobby was a native of Lynnville and lived in Lewisburg for the past 12 years. She was a member of Church Street Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jessie and Rena Cross Jeter; her first husband, Floyd Wells, in 1966; second husband, Jimmy Hobby, in 1998; brother, Thomas Jeter; and sisters, Jewel Williams and Kathleen Roberts.

She is survived by her daughters, Doris Russell of Lewisburg and Mildred Searcy of Nashville; grandsons, Roger (Cindy) Searcy of Nashville and Matt (Dora Lee) Searcy and great-granddaughter Jamie Searcy of Harvest, Ala,; nieces, nephews, and the family of Jimmy Hobby. She is also survived by her sisters-in-law, Mary Tom Wells and Maxine Jeter; and brother-in-law, Elmer Roberts.

Funeral services were conducted Friday, Nov. 26, followed by burial in Lynnwood Cemetery in Lynnville.

In lieu of food and flowers, the family asks that you give to the charity of your choice.

London Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
