Registration for the Youth Basketball League for boys and girls 7-12 years old, sponsored by the Lewisburg Parks and Recreation Department, is now open. Deadline is Dec. 17; League starts Jan. 8. For more information, call Jane Tilford at 359-2482.

In His Image Pregnancy Resource Center is in urgent need of wipes and diapers sizes newborn, 3, 4, 5, and 6. The center is open Tuesday and Thursday from 9 a.m. to noon and 5 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday from 1 to 4 p.m. Feel free to call Shirley Lowe at 359-2304 for special arrangements.

Registration for the 2011 spring semester is underway at Columbia State Community College. Thursday, Jan. 6, is the last day to register without incurring a late charge. Classes begin Thursday, Jan. 13. Registration and advising services are available from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m., Monday through Friday. The Alzheimer's Association Marshall County Caregiver Support Group will meet at noon Thursday, Dec. 9, at the Senior Citizens Center, 230 College St., Lewisburg. Refreshments will be provided. The group is free of charge and can be beneficial to anyone caring for a loved one suffering with memory impairment and confusion.
