Gracie Mae Yell Comstock, 80, of Double Springs, Ala., died Tuesday, Dec. 7, 2010, in Haleyville, Ala.
Mrs. Comstock was born in Hazel Green, Ala. and was a daughter of the late Robert and Addie Phillps Yell. She was a retired restaurant worker. Mrs. Comstock was preceded in death by a sister, Geneva Cline, and brothers, Cecil Yell, Paul Yell and Bobby Yell.
Mrs. Comstock is survived by her daughters, Kay Wilson of Bell Buckle and Carolyn Richardson of Tullahoma; sons, Gary Yell of Clarksville and Steven Comstock of North Carolina; sisters, Lucille Cook of the Haskins Chapel Community, Myrtle Harris of Shelbyville, Juanita Smithson of the Caney Spring Community, and Betty Jo Jarrett of Lewisburg; brothers, Horace Yell and Steve Yell, both of Lewisburg; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and her best friend and caregiver, Norma Lee Baker of Haleyville, Ala.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Friday, Dec. 10, at Lawrence Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday from the chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home with burial to follow in Hopper Cemetery near Chapel Hill.
